East tube of Gotthard Base Tunnel open to traffic again as of 23 August
The intact east tube will be in operation again from 23 August 2023 00:01. The west tunnel will remain closed for a longer period. The replacement concept valid from 23 August on is being drafted by SBB infrastructure along with the freight RUs. The available capacity remains yet unknown. Restrictions are to be expected. The next update is expected on 18.08. in the afternoon.
